Communication & Reports
Four reports during the year (2024-2024)
October 12th : Interim report
November 15th: 1st report card
February 14th: 2nd report card
June 30th: 3rd report card
*Students with IEPs will receive monthly communications (email, phone calls, document, or report card) from the teacher in order to have information concerning their learning goals.
It's very important to create your account and have access to this platform. This is where you will find your child's report card (no more paper copies are being sent home). You will also find their bus pass (no more paper copies are being sent home).
* The bus pass will be made available to you the week before school starts.
Each class will have a Google Classroom. It will be important to join the classroom in order to have access to all the necessary information about your child's learning (homework, activities, etc). You will receive the information about this from your child's teacher at the beginning of the year.
Email Policy
In order to respect the working hours of our staff, DES has established an email policy.
Please allow staff members (teachers, admin, support staff) 24 to 48 hours to answer your email.
The staff has been asked to answer emails between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and when they are not with students. Do not expect emails during the evening or on the weekend. Our staff is working tremendously hard and also deserve time with their loved ones outside of school hours.
If the safety or health of your child is the subject, please identify your email as URGENT. We will do our very best to get back to you as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: The staff writes polite and respectful emails. In return, we expect emails from parents to also be polite and respectful. When necessary, emails will be transferred to the administration for follow-up with the parents.
We thank you for your collaboration in this matter.
